Biography
Prof. Dr. Qazi Mushtaq Hussain, former Director cum Professor in National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital, Dhaka. He completed his MBBS degree from Dhaka Medical college. After that he completed his postgraduation from BSMMU.
He has done his training in IAEA and BAEC on nuclear safety and Radiation control. He has done his training on 3D-CRT at TATA memorial Cancer hospital at Mumbai India & Philippines. He also completed fellowship of Harvard Medical School & UICC.
In 2017 he become Professor and Head of the department of Radiotherapy in Dhaka Medical Collage and Hospital. In 2020 he became Director cum Professor in National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital Dhaka. After successfully completing his term as a Director in NICRH, he retired from Dhaka Medical Collage and Hospital as the Head of the department of Radiotherapy in 2022. Entire his service life he served in different govt. hospital & medical colleges.
He worked as National Project Coordinator of IAEA RCA RAS-6086 project during the period of 2018 to 2021. Presently he is working as the President of 'Bangladesh Society of Radiation Oncologists (BSRO) and worked as General Secretary of the society during 2017-2019. He is à council member of FARO (Federation of Asian Organizations for Radiation Oncology) from Bangladesh. Also, he Worked as External Examiner at Nepal, under National Academy of Medical Sciences.
He regularly participates in the online tumor board of GCI (Global Cancer Institute). He has many National & International publications in different journals. Also, he has written 03 books on Radiation Physics, Clinical and Applied Radiotherapy and Short notes in Oncology, 02 books on Travelling, 1 book on Cancer and 1 on theory of Relativity in Bangla.
He attended & chaired in lot of national and international seminars in clinical oncology. He is general member of ASCO, ESMO, Bangladesh Cancer Society & Rotary Club, Dhaka.
