On 17 2023, Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Speciality Centre organized a Continuous Medical Education (CME) on Microwave Ablation (MWA), a medical advancement technique. Microwave Ablation (MWA) is a minimally invasive medical procedure used in the treatment of certain types of tumors or abnormal tissue growth. It is a localized therapy that utilizes high-frequency electromagnetic waves to generate heat and destroy targeted tissues
Introduction to the CME done by Dr. George Noel Fernandes (Chief Operating Officer, Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Speciality Centre). Prof. Dr. Bishwajit Bhowmik (Senior Consultant, Interventional Radiology) gave a brief history of the MWA as well as an overview of its past, present, and future. A Q&A session was also held.

On 16th November 2022, Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Speciality Centre & Singapore General Hospital (SingHealth) Jointly organized a CME on Colorectal Cancer. The key note speakers in this program were Prof. Emile John Tan Kwong Wei (Head & Senior Consultant, Department of Colorectal Surgery, Singapore General Hospital) and Dr. Md. Saifullah (Consultant, Colorectal & Laparoscopic Surgery, Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Speciality Centre).
Prof. Dr. Shahadot Hossain Sheikh (Professor & Chairman Department of General & Colorectal Surgery, BSMMU) chaired the session & discussed about the current scenario in the treatment of Colorectal Surgery.
